Hi, my name is Jan Blackburn and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2001.
By 2002 I had to take 10 mg of Glipizide tablets, then by 2005 I was taking 1-10mg Glipizide tablet in the morning and 1 at night.
When the end of 2005 came I was taking 10 units of Lantus ( a long lasting insulin) and also the Glipizide.
2007 was the addition of the Humalog a fast acting insulin…..
In2007 the Lantus insulin gradually went up to 80 units at bedtime.
So now I was taking 10 mg Glipizide twice a day, 7 units of Humalog before lunch, 7 before dinner and 9 before bed and of course the now 80 units of Lantus at bed time.
I was not feeling real well by that time. One morning I prayed and said God the insulin and pills are killing me, tell me what to do how will I know that you are telling me, how will I know it is you and not me.
When I arrived at church that morning, my sister looked at me and said you look terrible. I said yes I know the insulin and pills are not helping. She said, you need to talk to CarolAnn (a customer of whenhealthmatters) she has lost 60 lbs.
I thought to myself, yea, sure another weight loss program. She said , well CarolAnn is a diabetic and she was on insulin and now she doesn’t have to take it anymore.
I looked up and said Thank you God, he gave me his answer.
That was the start of my wonderful journey. HCG was the answer. CarolAnn gave me all of the information I needed to get started. I could not believe the immediate results. Every day I lost weight.
The first thing to go was the Glipizide and then the Humalog and then the Lantus. I was using a cane to walk as I had a pinched nerve in my back which was causing drop foot. Then the cane was no longer needed. All of these things were GONE in two weeks.
I lost all of those meds and also 43 lbs.
I am now going to start my second round and then will soon be at my ideal weight. Not only did I lose the weight and all of the other things but I was regaining my confidence.
I feel GREAT!

The hcg "I" story by Carol Ann Gresham
I first heard of the hcg protocol through Kevin Trudeau’s book, "What they don’t want you to know about weight loss" that came out early 2008. The information was good, but how did I go about getting it, since the only place at the time I knew of was in Italy? Just like many of you, every diet "out there" was tried, hundredSSS of dollars spent, and no success. Enter: a lady friend at work, closely associated with Bob Robeson, told me about the website, and I said, "Get me started. I am ready!"
My medical statistics: no working thyroid, on thyroid Rx, medical problems due to bad health, and diabetic Rx which exacerbated the problem of "weight." The endocrinology doctors’ diets did nothing, and more tears ensued as the struggle went on for 8 years, and the scales went up.
I started the protocol 9-20-2008, and my highest weight was 205, size 18. Blood sugars were running in the high 160-170’s for AM readings, and over 200 at night before dinner on diabetic Rx, A1C was 8.5. When I started the protocol, it took 38 days to come off of diabetic mouth Glyburide Rx and 38 Units of Lantus insulin daily. Needless to say, this alone is a "hallelujah", since this kind of medication addresses only the symptoms, not the cause. (We won’t even discuss the other horrendous medications that I took, and was highly allergic to.)
I didn’t tell my endocrinology doctor that I was doing the protocol at the beginning, because I knew that his reaction would be less than favorable.
When I saw him for my 3-month checkup, I had lost 25 lbs by then, and he was happy for the weight loss, but upset on my avenue to get there. My diabetic wellness blood test proved to be my greatest testimony. By the 2nd visit, I was down 50 lbs, and the blood work proved even better. By the time I saw the doctor the 3rd time, I had lost 76 lbs, my blood work was fabulous, and for the first time in 8 years, my A1C was 6.0 from a high of 8.5. All the doctor could say at this point was "well, are you done losing weight now?" J
My weight loss journey took 9 months of 3 rounds of hcg to lose 76 lbs finishing up around 4th of July 2009, losing over 86" all over my body, and fitting into size 6. What a celebration! AM blood sugars are 100-120’s, and PM before dinner is 90-105 with NO Rx.
Last August 2009, I had extensive repair surgery done, and my 2 surgical doctors told me that "I was very skinny on the inside" meaning that I had LOST all the adipose bad brown fat inside of my body. When they asked how I had lost the weight, I told them. The only comment they could make was, "well, whatever you are doing, keep it up." So now, not only do I have an excellent blood work report, I have a verified doctor report that states there is no lingering adipose brown fat.
I’ve maintained my weight loss now for a year, with due diligence, because God desires a people who are healthy (& for us that is spirit, soul & BODY). My "I" story has been used to help / instruct / mentor many down the path towards a better healthy lifestyle.
My before pictures shows a person who doesn't even look like or represent the "me" that I am today … comfortable with who I am, positive, excited, motivated to share success with all who are willing to make a life-style change for their health! (Oh, by the way, did I tell you I will be 70 in September 2010 J )
